Rave: Wen Hair Care Review

This is a review for:

Officially, I am on my 4th bottle of the WEN Sweet Almond Mint after consecutive use since March 2013 so I do believe that should be a good amount of time to build an opinion on a hair-care product.

I have pretty thick coarse, colored treated and dry hair. So the infomercial for this product almost seem like it was especially for me. I literally watched the whole hour program run on TV one day debating whether or not it was really something I wanted to try. I'm pretty new to the whole online shopping thing, so experimenting with the over the phone deal was a no-go for me.

(off topic: My boyfriend called into to order a fitness powder product that he heard about on the radio and although he unsubscribed to the company, they still pester him and call him about the product, not something I'm completely interested in, no thanks.)

So after finding out that my nearest Sephora carries Wen products, I decided to give the "Wen(R) by Chaz Dean Healthy Hair Care Kit (Sephora $42.50), a try since it came with other products.

12 oz Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
2 oz Sweet Almond Mint Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment 2 oz Sweet Almond Mint Replenishing Treatment Mist

I really do like this product and will continue to buy more. It really does make my hair feel amazingly soft and look moisturized. And just as the infomercial says, lathering can be pretty harsh, and even though its just a creamy cleansing conditioner, it really does clean hair!

The misting spray, really didn't do anything for me. Although, it does smell good to me!

My boyfriend's mother think it smells like liquid anti-acid, Mylanta.

Luckily, I'm unfamiliar with the smell of that stuff, so the Wen Sweet Almond Mint, doesn't bother me at all. I actually find it to be super relaxing.

The Intensive Hair Treatment is super nice! Even though, I have no patience for leaving products in for very long, it is something I'll do maybe once a month, so i do actually have 2 at the moment from the 4 kits I've gotten.

Dupe

Before converting to Wen, I actually tried a comparative product that was less expensive and actually read that some consumers liked better called, Hair One. I got this product from Sally's Beauty Supply for about $8. And for my hair type, I absolutely hated it made my hair feel super slick and greasy and smelled terrible. Definitely surprised that I love Wen.
But of course, everyone's hair type is different.

Do I recommend WEN(R) : YES

So if you are interested in a product that doesn't lather and adds moisture and is a 2 in 1 type cleanser/conditioner. I totally recommend WEN.

Rave: Mapmyrun.com

Good morning!
Now I wouldn't call myself an athlete but I do enjoy running. As a "FLAT-FOOTED" runner (jogger) I'm more into distance than into speed. So slowly I've been making short term goals to improve my ability keep up with my boyfriend, a baseball player.

As much as I enjoy the treadmill when I'm at the gym, I would much rather go outside and see different scenery every once in while! Unfortunately for me, I live about 40 mins from downtown Atlanta in the country, so seeing roadkill is highly likely. And once I see a sightly for any sort of dead animal on the side of the road, I'm quick to run back into my house.

Anyways...
Today, I went out for a run about 8:30am once the elementary schoolbuses have left the neighborhood. I enjoy running more around 8-9 am or 6-7pm, whenever the sun isn't so harsh during the summer.

A great tool I've been using for 4+ years is mapmyrun.com

If your not familiar with the website, you literally type in your address therefore a map appears of your locations, that way its easy for you to figure out different routes in your area to run. Also, your able to click your start and finish points and the site calculates your distance, which for me is perfect!

If you're a very active running, you can join and start logging in your performance and see your improvements!

Below is what I got done today:

Please excuse the sloppy job trying to hide the street names! lol
